Without doubt I wanted to present the chart show on Radio 1. Other than that, I wanted to be a racing driver. I did my license for that in 1995 but never raced! How did you get into presenting?
I was a full time club DJ & got bored in the day so I started in hospital radio in Nuneaton with Anker Radio. I may not be on air with them now, but I still pay into it as it’s a lifesaver if you’ve ever had to stay in hospital. It taught me how different and disciplined radio is from live work. What's the best thing about working on Ashby Radio?

I’ve re-discovered an old album by a group called Innocence from 1990, truly moody electronica! In live work I’m really liking the new Eric Prydz track “Sweet Genesis”, one to watch for sure! Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?
I was a semi finalist in the Technics / DMC UK Mixing Championships in 1990. Also, I have a classic car, a Hillman Avenger Tiger II. There are only about 15 left, and my one has been copied by Corgi, even has my registration number on it! Most embarrassing moment on air?
When I was on air last year and the whole studio went down for a micro-second. Problem was that the microphone was working, the pc had to be re-booted, and there was no cd in the player…… Time to think on your feet! Good job I do my shows standing up! Favourite food?
Svickova. A Czech dish which is pork fillet and bread dumplings in a sauce made from carrots, asparagus, and sauerkraut. My fiancée is Czech, so when we go to see her Mum………

JD & Coke. Is that because JD is DJ backwards? Favourite TV show/Film?
Blackadder Goes Forth (Don’t be ridiculous Darling!), Only Fools on the TV. Film… probably Scent Of A Woman. When are you on air?
When we go onto 97.5fm I’m on air every Sunday from 7-10pm I'll be playing dance, soul and funk classics from the disco era right through to today, including exclusive mini mixes, music to make you move.!!
