What is your motto in life?
Things work out best for the people who make the best of the way things work out……..

How old are you?
The grand age of 52 in body, and in my mind, somewhere back in the 70’s

When you were a child what was your dream job?
Flying an airplane, I did live near USAF Alconbury airbase

How did you get into presenting?
My life long friend, Wayne Fitzgerald worked on a radio station, doing the breakfast show; I helped him for a while and then got a job on the same station, been doing it ever since

What's the best thing about working on Ashby Radio?
Having the opportunity to introduce new country to you, the listener, and after a few show’s people saying I don’t like country normally but like what you play ………

Do you have a nick name?
David Hamilton used to call me Tiny ,and that’s from a man called Diddy ? Tiny and Diddy great name for a 70’s radio show ‘er’

Have you got any pets?
No not at the moment. (They keep running away)

What music are you listening to at the minute?

Country radio station from the states, ….like all the time……….

Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?
Roller skated with the Bay City Rollers, had coffee with Suzi Quatro in Woolworth café in Peterborough and was David Hamilton’s techopp (that’s the bloke that does all the knobs and slider things on the desk in the studio i.e. sound engineer) working on stage in the summer of 1975 at an Air show for the USAF, on stage with Candi Staton and miming ‘Young Hearts Run Free’ to an audience of about 4000+ people. she was a bit nervous and grabbed me from behind the disco deck to help her (never again) also did road show’s for the 208 radio Luxembourg presenters, when they came to my area, all back in the 70’s used to be a full time DJ back then ‘O the great summers of the 70’s’

Most embarrassing moment on air?
Has to be the time when a big name Celebrity at the time I was working with, had a toupee on which had fallen forward when he put his headphones on. We went live to air so I could not tell him that it had slipped and at the back of him all the presenters on the radio station that were in the office, had seen what had happened and were making fun through a studio window to the rear of him and I could do nothing, but try hard not to crack up! And keep a straight face, the longest 3
Minutes of my life…………

Good old fashion English: Sunday breakfast / Sunday dinner and second best a American breakfast in a highway dinner somewhere in the states (you have a nice day now….. that before, you have paid the tip)

Favourite drink?
A nice Cup of Tea

My Favourite has to be the 1975 film Rollerball, love all the old re-runs of the 70’s like Airwolf / NYPD, also CSI / NCIS, and also Grand Design

You will find me on The Highway where I present the New Country Show.
